If I Were God

If I were god:
Snow would be my way of fixing things.
Snow coats the whole world
With a delicate icing of glory.
No matter how turbulent or chaotic or
Just plain goddamn terrible life gets,
Snow has the power to restore its grace,
Its fundamental, downright undeniable beauty.
Not the kind of beauty you could buy,
Or apply in a fancy European cream.
The kind that brings hope, and joy,
To a world so desperately in need of it.
